im looking at getting a 3.5 6 speed. but my dad doesnt want to do a clutch on it when it goes. and i dont think i could cause i dont even have a license or a job. does anyone know if its a pain in th e butt to replace? is the a32 easier. the answer to this question will determine if he lets me get a stick or an auto so try to be honest. thanks a lot

most independent shops will do it for 300-350+ parts

well the clutch itself will cost you around 300 bucks, while you are changing it why not get a lighter flywheel like fidanza.

so how much, if any of you have, did you pay to have a new clutch installed? with everything necessary?

I do them here for 250.... and you won't have to return many times for corrections/repairs due to some boneheaded mechanic. It shouldn't take more than 2 hours to do it.

I resurface the flywheel if it is resurfacable for that amount. I don't know what the clutch parts cost. New stuff for a 95-01 Maxima are bout 300 bux if you go with OEM clutch.

they are a little more expensive for the 3.5. i think it costs somewhere near the $500 range. i had to give an estimate to some kid that fried the clutch in his 02 altima. fucking idiot if you ask me. car barely hit 30k miles.

but he should be better at driving stick now, giving him a fresh start, right? hopefully...

well, he looked like a tipical kid that dropped the clutch at high rpms and rode his car hard. he was kind of freaked out that it cost so much. oh and the dealer doesnt cover it, i guess they covered it or something. but i bet he learned his lesson.
sorry about getting off topic.

250 is a nice price actually. At my shop i think its quote near 3-4 hours at our labor rate of 110/ hour. resurfacing is included i think.
