Have Keypads on doors
has a VG30E motor (single overhead cam)
only available in an automatic
Body Colored mirrors
Chrome window trim

89-91 SE models
Black mirrors
VG30E motor (same as GXE)
Black window trim
Dark tail lights
White face gauges
available with a stick
No Keypads on the doors

92-94 SE
VE30DE motor(190 hp Dual Over Head Cam motor)
145 MPH speedometer
6700 RPM redline
Heated Mirrors
otherwise same as 89-91 SE

Rear drum brakes unless ABS equipped

89-94 SE Models
4 disc brakes whether ABS equipped or not
Spoiler

89-91 SE/GXE Models
White line in tail lights goes around corner and are thinner and says Maxima above the line
Grill has 2 bigs horizontal gaps with the word Nissan on the right

92-94 SE/GXE Models
Grill has numerous vertical gaps and has Nissan badge in/on the center
White line in tail lights stops before corner and is thicker with the word Maxima in it
