95 vs 97

how much faster are the 95/96 5spd then the 97-99 5spds? Different emissions right?

95 has much less emissions but is also classified as a OBD1 car, even though it has the OBD2 connector on passanger side but since OBD2 became standard in 96 models, its a obd1 car, whatever. Which means you have to get it on the dyno thigy and hooked up to the exhaust sniffer when doing emissions, not good cause you might fail with exhaust mods. 96+ you'll pass as long as you have no engine codes. There are some safety changes for the 97+ that make i MUCH safer than 95-96, something with reinforced seat rails, better front and rear bumper supports/rails. The weight difference is within 30-40 lbs and the performance is pretty much identical. Also the heavier 16" rims make the 97+ SE also a bit slower.
